DCS Change Project Manager

£740.00 per day via Umbrella

London (Hybrid)

Contract Until Dec 2025

HSBC are currently searching for a DCS Change Project Manager to join their team in London. HSBC Derivatives Clearing Services (DCS) are currently implementing a programme to build a robust and scalable capability in Clearing. This includes the implementation of next-generation front to back technology solutions and associated operational workflows.

Responsibilities:

HSBC require a Project Manager to lead one of the workstreams focusing on postings and accounting within the system whilst working cross functionally. Within this role you will:

• Engaging with all internal project stakeholders to ensure work is completed on time, fully tested, with documented evidence linked to business requirements

• Drive planning and communication of plans to stakeholders

• Partnering with teams on an Agile delivery basis, while managing expectations with an overall work plan

• Ensuring project documentation has appropriate sign-offs obtained and retained where required

• Ensuring test plans are documented align with actual test results

• Post migration actions are tracked and completed on time, with clear owners

• System set up and configuration in a structured way to ensure prioritised delivery

• Test management – ensuring all documentation is in place and completed on schedule by the workstream

• Migration – ensuring plans and documentation are in place from the workstream to drive migration as new automations are put in place

Experience / Qualifications:

• To effectively manage the risk these skills will be needed

- Prior experience of systems implementation – essential

- Sub ledger and system accounting knowledge – essential

- Understanding of Trade lifecycle for Derivative products – ideal, but not essential

• Planning and status reporting

• Experience in Agile Software Development teams and skills in JIRA, Excel, etc are essential

• Documentation preparation / review for testing & migration

• Good investigative skills

• Good understanding of operational risk

• Strong relationship building skills with both internal stakeholders

• Good communication, escalation and issue management skills

• Operations or IT business analysis / PMO experience at a top tier broker or Investment Bank
